04/18 – Turck cloud oplossingen maken gebruik van voorgeconfigureerde data evaluatie voor industriële taken, data veiligheid en voor eenvoudig gebruik in visualisaties
Mülheim, 10 april 2018Turck is presenting its Turck Cloud Solutions service at the Hannover Messe. The data is transferred directly from Turck's controller and I/O components to the cloud. For this, Turck is using the Kolibri protocol recently purchased from Beck IPC, which guarantees encrypted communication to the cloud. Users can thus save and evaluate production data in the Turck cloud – either just for monitoring tasks or for optimizing their processes and plants. The benefit compared to other systems is the fact that the relevant data can be simply selected in the controller at the click of a mouse. The cloud user interface can then arrange this data directly in clusters and logically organize it in diagrams and charts without any additional configuration.
Customers can select whether to have their data hosted cost efficiently and centrally by Turck, or select an on-premises variant, in which the Turck Cloud Software is installed on the customer's own servers. The centrally hosted variant can also be registered by the user as a customer cloud. In this way, the cloud user interface can be adapted to the customer's branding and corporate design. This variant is particularly attractive for OEMs wishing to offer their customers a cloud service as an option with their machines and plants.
Turck is working on other functions and variants for its cloud solutions. For example, industrial servers for mounting in the control cabinet (IP20) and in the field (IP67) are also planned. The Mülheim specialists intend to make their cloud software even more valuable through self-learning algorithms. This will make the machine able to recognize problems early on (predictive maintenance), suggest the solution to the problem and, if necessary, solve the problem automatically using precise information from the relevant service technician.

Hiervoor maakt Turck gebruik van het kolibri protocol wat onlangs is gekocht van Beck IPC, waardoor een versleutelde communicatie met de cloud gegarandeerd wordt. Gebruikers kunnen hun productie data opslaan en evalueren in de Turck cloud - of voor alleen bewakingstaken of voor het optimaliseren van de processen en fabrieken. Het voordeel ten opzichte van andere systemen is het feit dat alle relevante data simpel geselecteerd kan worden in de controller door een klik op een muis. De cloud gebruikersinterface kan dan de data direct arrangeren in clusters en logisch organiseren in diagrammen en grafieken zonder additionele configuratie.
Klanten kunnen ervoor kiezen om hun data kosten efficiënt en centraal te hosten bij Turck of te kiezen voor een eigen-locatie variant waar dan de Turck cloud software wordt geïnstalleerd op de eigen servers van de klant. De centraal gehoste variant kan ook geresistreerd worden door de gebruiker als een klant cloud. Hierdoor kan de cloud gebruikersinterface aangepast worden aan de branding en het corporate design van de klant. Deze variant is met name interssant voor OEM's die hun klanten een cloud service aan willen bieden als een optie met de machines en installaties.
Turck werkt aan andere functies en varianten voor haar cloud oplossingen. Bijvoorbeeld industriële servers voor installatie in de schakelkast (IP20) en in het veld (IP67) staan op de planning. Turck heeft tevens de intentie om de cloud software nog waardevoller te maken door zelflerende algoritmen. Dit zal de machine mogelijk maken om problemen in een vroeg stadium te herkennen (voorspellend onderhoud) en mogelijke oplossingen voor het oplossen van het probleem voorstellen en, indien noodzakelijk, het probleem automatisch oplossen door gebruik te maken van nauwkeurige informatie van de relevante service medewerker.
